The Outside Detailers may do different things at different shops. For us it all starts with a good old fashon hand wash. We wash the outside of the vehicle with the proper soap and chemicals to thouroughly clean the paint, rims, and tires. Once the ouside is dry we use a high speed polisher to polish the used car or truck. This is the step that removes most of the minor scratches that occure in a vehicle. During this time any more severe scratches get special attention with different chemicals or techniqes to either remove or help minimize their appearance. After the high speed polishing a coat of wax is applied to keep the shine and protect the paint. The wheels and tires are also wiped down and a protectant is applied.
The Interior Cleaning the interior is often hard due to all the cracks and crevices in todays cars and trucks. In vehicles that have removable seats like minivans, we'll often start by removing the seats. The next step is to vacume the interior thouroughly to remove all the loose debris. Once done any spots in the interior will be pretreated with stain remover. A heat extractor is used next to remove any dirt from the fabric. Boiling hot water and chemicals remove the toughest of stains. Once the fabrics are cleaned the dash and plastic panels are wiped down and conditioned. If the vehicle is equipted with leather the leather seats are also cleaned and conditioned to help prevent any cracking.
Engine Compartment If your cleaning the rest of the vehicle you don't want to forget your engine compartment. We'll degrease the engine and clean all the crevises. Once cleaned we'll ad a shine for a great appearance.
